Alagar Murugan, also known as Kallalagar or simply Alagar, is a revered form of Lord Murugan, worshipped primarily in the Madurai region of Tamil Nadu. The Alagar Kovil (also known as Thirumaliruncholai) is a famous temple dedicated to this deity, located about 21 kilometers from Madurai.

Alagar is often depicted as a divine prince riding a horse, symbolizing his royal and warrior nature. He is also associated with the Vishnu avatar due to his connection with the Alagar Kovil, where he is considered an incarnation of Lord Vishnu by some devotees. The temple is set in a picturesque location amidst hills and is an important pilgrimage site.

The Chithirai Thiruvizha, an annual festival in Madurai, celebrates the wedding of Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar, where Kallalagar is said to visit the Vaigai River to give his blessings, making it a significant event for devotees.

Our artwork is digitally crafted on genuine gold-leaf–inspired paper, imparting a timeless sepia warmth with gracefully muted hues and radiant golden highlights. Each piece evokes the nostalgia of heritage art — softly luminous, richly detailed, and visually meditative — preserving the charm of age-old craftsmanship through a modern digital medium.

Note: These artworks are not three-dimensional.
