Annamalaiyar and Unnamalai are the deities of the Annamalaiyar Temple in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. Annamalaiyar, a form of Lord Shiva, is worshipped as the embodiment of the Arunachala hill, symbolizing the element of fire. His consort, Goddess Unnamalai (also known as Parvati), represents Shakti, the divine feminine power. Together, they signify the union of power and energy in this sacred place, drawing devotees who seek spiritual growth and liberation. The temple is also famous for the annual Karthigai Deepam festival.
Our artwork is digitally crafted on genuine gold-leaf–inspired paper, imparting a timeless sepia warmth with gracefully muted hues and radiant golden highlights. Each piece evokes the nostalgia of heritage art — softly luminous, richly detailed, and visually meditative — preserving the charm of age-old craftsmanship through a modern digital medium.
Note: These artworks are not three-dimensional.
If you wish to experience this design in full 3D relief with authentic gold foil and layered depth, please visit our Tanjore Painting section, where we can recreate the same artwork using traditional techniques and materials.
