Kumaravel Karthikeya, also known as Murugan, Skanda, or Subramanya, is a prominent deity primarily worshipped in South India and among Tamil communities worldwide. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati and the brother of Ganesha. Karthikeya is revered as the god of war and victory, often depicted as a youthful warrior wielding a spear (Vel) and riding a peacock. He is also associated with knowledge and wisdom.
Karthikeya's most famous temples are in Tamil Nadu, with the six Arupadai Veedu (Six Abodes) being the most significant. His mythology and worship are deeply embedded in Tamil culture, making him a central figure in Tamil literature, music, and religious practices. The festival of Thaipusam is particularly dedicated to him, where devotees express their devotion through various acts of penance and pilgrimage.
Our artwork is digitally crafted on genuine gold-leaf–inspired paper, imparting a timeless sepia warmth with gracefully muted hues and radiant golden highlights. Each piece evokes the nostalgia of heritage art — softly luminous, richly detailed, and visually meditative — preserving the charm of age-old craftsmanship through a modern digital medium.
Note: These artworks are not three-dimensional.
